In the writings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov he links the concept of the Tzadik Joseph with the Hebrew letter NuN (fish or fish hook) in the word CheN (grace). He then links this concept of Joseph and the NuN with the Moon. In a previous blog I wrote: "...Rebbe Nachman in a very clever but veiled way reveals that the Chen (grace) needed by Israel is found in the mystery of the word CheN itself. The chet here represents chiut and chai (life). And the NuN is the concept of NuN (fishhook) or nuna (fish/Joseph). The sun /Jacob is the inner essence of Adam Kadmon (divine man) and it manifests as sunlight /wisdom who is Joseph (God’s Wisdom). The concept of NuN reveals malkhut (kingdom). Rebbe Nachman then quotes Psalm 72:17 “before the sun yeNoN (be perpetuated) his name”. The chai here is seen as the Sun and the nun as the moon. Here is revealed cryptically that Yehoshuah (Joshua) ben Nun alludes to the Messiah Yeshuah (or Yehoshuah) who is divine Life and sun of the divine Will. Mashiach is the son of Joseph (NuN) and Joseph like the moon has no life of his own but that reflected by the Sun..."
The feast day of St Joseph is celebrated on March 19 every year. However this March 19 is a day when we are due to experience a "Super Moon". Mark Paquette writes on his weather site: "Coming up later this month (March 19 to be exact) the moon will make its closest approach to Earth (called lunar perigee) in 18 years. A new or full moon at 90% or greater of its closest perigee to Earth has been named a "SuperMoon" by astrologer Richard Nolle. This term has been recently picked up by astronomers. An extreme "SuperMoon" is when the moon is full or new as well as at its 100% greater mean perigee (closest) distance to earth. By this definition, last month's full moon, this month's and next month's will all be extreme "SuperMoons"..."
Mark's article continues : "...There were SuperMoons in 1955, 1974, 1992 and 2005. These years had their share of extreme weather. Is the Super Moon and the extreme weather a coincidence? Some would say yes; some would say no. I'm not here to pick sides and say I'm a believer or non-believer in subjects like this, but as a scientist I know enough to ask questions and try to find answers. We obviously know that there are scientific laws that say the moon affects the Earth (i.e. tides). There are also less proven theories that say the moon affects the Earth (i.e. abnormal behavior during a full moon). Can the Super (full) Moon contribute to extreme weather? AccuWeather Facebook fanpage member Daniel Vogler adds, "The last extreme super moon occurred was on January 10th, 2005, right around the time of the 9.0 Indonesia earthquake. That extreme super moon was a new moon. So be forewarned. Something BIG could happen on or around this date. (+/- 3 Days is my guess)"
So what can we expect this time? Earthquakes? Volcanic eruptions? I guess we can only wait and see."
Last month on 18 February was a Super Moon as well as next month on the 18 April. Some see the recent flooding and other disaster connected with these Super full moons others with a shift in the magnetic pole. The real cause for these disasters is our sins (no matter how they manifest in nature) so let do penance and reparation for ourselves and others. Let's all pray hard this St Joseph's Day that God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Today is the day the servant of God Luis Piccarreta died March 4 1947. March is the Month of St Joseph and 4 is the number of St Joseph.
I love opinionated non-PC people. This blog is to vent my opinions on life, the universe and everything. Which is 42 which in gematria is "My Heart" (LBY) according to Rabbi Abulafia. The Divine Heart is the centre of everything.
