I was so sad to hear the Greek Visionary Vassula Ryden died yesterday (25 September 2024 at 2.30 Greek time). She was about 82 years old as she was born in 1942 during World War 2 and was a famous visionary known over the whole world. She was born in Egypt of Greek Orthodox parents. She was a worldly person obsessed with tennis until she was converted by her Guardian angel appearing to her when she was living in Bangladesh.

In early 1997 I was praying about my future direction and I felt God say in my heart that he would take me on eagle wings and I would connect with Vassula Ryden, whose messages I had been reading.

In recent years there has been a theological movement known as the New Jewish Perspective on Paul. It has been a reevaluation of the writings of St Paul based from the context of the Second Temple Judaism and seeing Paul as an observant Jewish Rabbi. This evaluation was much needed especially with the often anti-Judaism perspectives of the past which had become entrenched in Christian theology.

I am often asked about the concept of reincarnation that many Jewish people seem to believe in so I thought I would gather the different articles I have written over the years on this topic. I even started a mammoth task of translating Chaim Vital's collection of the teaching of Rabbi Isaac Luria in Sha'ar haGilgulim, but I have only so far translated and commented on the first and second chapters.

The Mystical Rose

Prologue: Verse 1

רִבִּי חִזְקִיָּה פָּתַח, כְּתִיב כְּשׁוֹשַׁנָּה בֵּין הַחוֹחִים. מָאן שׁוֹשַׁנָּה, דָּא כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל. בְּגִין דְּאִית שׁוֹשַׁנָּה וְאִית שׁוֹשַׁנָּה, מַה שׁוֹשַׁנָּה דְּאִיהִי בֵּין הַחוֹחִים אִית בַּהּ סוּמָק וְחִוָּור, אוּף כְּנֶסֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל אִית בַּהּ דִּין וְרַחֲמֵי.

In this blog post I have put together some of my past blog posts connected with the concepts of Tradition and the development of doctrine. It can be rather frustrating that the Catholic younger generations of today are creating an idolised and idealised version of a past that never actually existed and they are often becoming locked into a mental ghetto. They glamourise certain past eras and ignore the concept of the development of doctrine.

I wrote about the Flood model proposed in the research paper of Harry Dickens, in my previous blog post. Dickens also discusses in his paper “Receding Noahic Flood Waters Led to Seafloor Spreading: A Proposed Geological Model” about the break up of the Pangaea, among other factors in his proposal. Today I read an article published in "New Creation" about the Geologic views of the Geologist Harry Dickens. I have come across his writings from a creationist perspective before and found his work informative as I also share many of his opinions due to my belief that the Flood boundary is at the Permian-Triassic.

On my recent blog post on Carmel I wrote of how Mt Carmel in Israel is triangular in shape and I connected it to the triangle of 7 of the first 28 letters of Genesis found in the first verse of the Bible as demonstrated above. I will further discuss that as well as the triangle of 8 made up of the first 36 letters of Genesis 1. The number 7 (zayin) is the seal of God and the number 8 (chet) is the number of life and of the Messiah. Together they are 13 which is the number of Divine Mercy.

Recently the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith have given approval to the apparitions to Pierina Gilli in regards to the Mystical Rose or Rosa Mystica devotion. I have had a devotion to Our Lady under the title of the Mystical Rose for many years. I first started writing about the Mystical Rose in connection with the Zohar back in 2004 after I had a prayer experience in 2002 in Jerusalem.

Our St Gilbert of Sempringham Ordinariate Prayer Group finally had our first Ordinariate Mass here in Dover in Tasmania. On Saturday night, Father John Joseph LEB celebrated his first solo Ordinariate Mass for the feast of Our Lady of the Southern Cross. 

It was wondrous for me as a member of the Ordinariate and during the prayer of humble access I was overwhelmed with emotion and wept. It was the first time in many years I was able to attend an Ordinariate Mass.
